Southeast Edmonton is a residential area in the southeast portion of the City of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 2005 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Southeast Area Structure Plan, which guides the overall development of the area. The Southeast Area Structure Plan originally planned for three separate neighbourhoods. Today, the Southeast Edmonton area includes the following: Charlesworth, Mattson, and Walker.
MillWoods is a residential area in the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in southeast Edmonton, Mill Woods is bounded by Whitemud Drive (Highway 14) to the north, 91 Street to the west, 34 Street to the east, and Anthony Henday Drive (Highway 216) to the south. Mill Woods is adjacent to three other residential areas including The Meadows to the east across 34 Street, and Southeast Edmonton and Ellerslie to the south and southwest respectively across Anthony Henday Drive. The development of Mill Woods began in the early 1970s and was one of the first areas of Edmonton to move away from the grid system. Beaumont is a town in Leduc County within the Edmonton Capital Region of Alberta, Canada. It is located at the intersection of Highway 625 and Highway 814, 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) south of the City of Edmonton and 6.0 kilometres (3.7 mi) northeast of the City of Leduc. The Nisku Industrial Park and the Edmonton International Airport are located 4.0 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the west and 8.0 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the southwest respectively.
Originally a French farming community, Beaumont is now a town of 17,720 people. Its downtown core resembles a French village with unique architecture and red brick walkways. It is named for the "beautiful hill" on which St. Vital Church, built in 1919, is located within the centre of the town. The name was selected in 1895 as part of a petition for a post office. T
